Small town…big vision, big ventures, big views, big values.

Gilmer County has the best of both worlds – a calming, peaceful way of life; yet culture and technology to rival the biggest city. Our citizens are united in their love of daily small town life, appreciation of local history, and big dreams for our future.

We invite you to wander through this website and visit our merchants, providers, and community leaders. Feel free to get in touch with us – we’d love to tell you more about why we love our small town.

Since 1978 the Gilmer Chamber has grown and evolved with our community. However, through it all, our focus has remained on being responsive to our members’ and the community’s needs.

We continue to tirelessly promote our area, welcome visitors and newcomers, foster and develop a strong economic base, encourage the expansion of well-planned business and civic growth, and to enhance the quality of life of our citizens.

Recognized as one of the first chambers to be designated as a Georgia Certified Chamber of Commerce, the professional staff, under the exceptional volunteer leadership, strives to provide value to our membership and quality of service to all.

We offer the strength and knowledge of our combined experience, and a forum by which others may find resources and support within our communities. We welcome you to explore here, to reach out to us or better yet, to visit us!
